debathena-thunderbird-config should configure newsgroups

Description (last modified by jdreed) (diff)

debathena-alpine-config already does this for Pine, but it would be nice to have a graphical newsgroup reader pre-configured. (Evolution is a crappy newsreader with a terrible UI.)

for reference, debathena-alpine-config configures the news server to news.mit.edu , and does so using the file debian/transform_pine.conf.debathena

The above attachment is a diff of all local dotfiles before and after adding news.mit.edu as an NNTP server as a local user, using the Thunderbird GUI. It gives a hint as to what pref needs to be modified, perhaps mail.server.server2.hostname

note that news.mit.edu is no longer the name of MIT's Usenet server. Now you need to use usenet.mit.edu
