usb-creator-gtk doesn't work on cluster

Description

I suspect this is due to poor interaction between the horrible things we do with aufs and whatever python goo usb-creator-gtk uses to frob disks, but...

If I attempt to burn to an empty FAT32-formatted flash drive, the "Make startup disk" button is grayed out. If I then choose "erase disk", it fails with "/dev/sdb1 contains a mounted filesystem" which is not true, since usb-creator-gtk has just unmounted it.

I'm not sure whose fault this is.

It may be relevant that policykit (by way of usb-creator-gtk) asks for root's password on -cluster, but asks for the user's password on -workstation.

I can't repro this anymore. I wonder if this was related to our dbus-launch-helper not working.
