Description
It looks like gnome-settings-daemon is taking over system-config-printer's responsibility to display libnotify notifications when CUPS-related actions happen (look at plugins/print-notifications on master of git://git.gnome.org/gnome-settings-daemon)
Based on a quick scan of the source, it looks like this might suffer from the old s-c-p issue of "print job has completed" vs. "print job has been sent to the server"
Somebody should see if that's actually the case, and follow up with upstream if so.
This looks like it's only going to land in the GNOME 3 version of g-s-d, which means it won't land in natty, so you have a little while.
